I'am interested in materials, either singly or in
combination and their ability to express ideas. For some time my work has focussed on water, its structure, behaviour, altered states and multiple associations. Ideas of continuity and connection and an interest in layers beneath the surface are a direction for new work and conversely I'am also exploring themes of disconnection and displacement.
I moved to Wales from London nine yearsago and have combined exhibiting, commissions and residencies in this country and an International Sculpture Prk in Lithuania. The residencies have combined work with schools, local communities and environmental trust volunteers. The work has an environmental and sustainable emphasis. Solar power for self-circulating water sculptures and re-cycled and re-usable materials combined with new technologies are a special interest.
I'm an Associate Member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.
